He’s at it again. Former Hog sprinter Wallace Spearmon (Fayetteville) clocked a 19.65, the third-fastest time ever, in the 200 meters at the Daegu International Meeting in South Korea.
The 19.65 is the third fastest time in HISTORY, trailing only Michael Johnson’s 19.32 (Olympic record) and Xavier Carter’s 19.63 this summer in Switzerland. Carter went to [...]

7-A West is a real "Frenzy"
September 26, 2006
There’s a reason we call it the Friday Night Frenzy. Last year Springdale took a lot of the competition out of the 5-A West. That’s not to say they weren’t a blast to watch, I loved every minute of it! But this year it’s plain to see the parity is back with the big schools. [...]
Holy Cow!
September 24, 2006
What a ballgame today in Fayetteville. A packed house there to see Arkansas pull out a one point win against Alabama, in one of the most thrilling finishes at Razorback Stadium in some time. Not only does this get the Hogs to 2-0 in the SEC, but you can’t underestimate what this does for their [...]

September 20, 2006
Hey all,
Check out this great tournament coming up next weekend. It’s on the Hogs bye week, so get a team together and come play. It’s for a wonderful cause. Plus, you’ll have a chance to watch me break both of my ankles in the Celebrity game! Here is some information, hope to [...]
Frenzy Showdown at Shiloh!!!!!!!!
September 18, 2006
There is a reason we call our high school football coverage “The Friday Football Frenzy”. It’s because of games such as the Shiloh/Greenwood matchup that took place this past Friday.
We usually allow for about 50 seconds for our Game of the Week highlights. By halftime, I was already asking for more time. The Saints and [...]
Music City Musings
September 18, 2006
Well, just back from watching the Hogs squeek out an oh-so-close game against Vandy.
First off, I’ve seen junior high stadiums in Texas bigger than “Vanderbilt Stadium”, but the weather was perfect and any time you can watch an SEC football game from the sidelines, it’s all good.
And by the way, Nashville is one of my [...]

NFL Picks, Week 2
September 17, 2006
It’s noon on Sunday. Do you know where your NFL picks are?
I’m late, but here goes, trying to improve on a 5-11 first week.
Buffalo at Miami — Daunte will get that Dolphins offense rolling.
Carolina at Minnesota — Without Steve Smith and Dan Morgan, I like the Vikes.
Cleveland at Cincinnati — Love the Bengals in this [...]
Mustain Looks GREAT!
September 16, 2006
Wow! Mitch Mustain just threw a 50-someodd-yard pass to Marcus Monk to tie Vandy 7-7, and I gotta tell you: Mustain is a legend in the making.
His first pass on an out was just spot on, thrown with confidence, and his second pass for the score was brilliant. He gave just a pro’s fake, which [...]
