They say good things come to those who wait and Hog fans are hoping the cliche rings true. Frank Broyles has moved on to plan B and hopes to return from Atlanta with a new Head Hog. The week began with most hog fans expecting Billy Gillispie to replace Stan Heath before the week’s [...]

Stacy Lewis tearing it up!
March 30, 2007
How about Ladyback junior golfer Stacy Lewis? This week she got her second career exemption to play an LPGA event, the Kraft Nabisco Championship (considered the 1st women’s major of the season). The amateur wasn’t fazed last year at the Jamie Farr Classic, and this week she’s been stellar in the first [...]
Local Sports held hostage…
March 29, 2007
I think Dave Van Horn could burn down Baum Stadium tomorrow, and it wouldn’t matter. Right now the entire Arkansas sports world is being held hostage by the crisis that is the search for a new basketball coach. There’s no doubt, the way the Gillispie debacle has unfolded makes you wish to be a fly [...]
Here we go again….
March 29, 2007
Well, it looks like Frank Broyles is back to square one after Billy Gillispie said thanks, but no thanks.
So, what now? Who does Frank go after…..
Bill Self? Not going anywhere.
Tim Floyd? Not going anywhere.
Rick Majerus? His “people” did contact the U of A today, so obviously the former Utah coach is interested. Would he be [...]

Billy Gillispie staying at A&M?
March 27, 2007
Word out of the Lonestar State is that Gillispie has no plans to come to Arkansas. The Dallas Morning News beat reporter for the Aggies wrote this story, and all indications to her are that Gillispie is staying put.
See for yourself.

Stan Heath
March 27, 2007
It’s a tough business, college athletics.
Seems just like yesterday we were all in awe of Arkansas’ run through the SEC Tournament, and it’s subsequent invitation to the NCAA Tournament.
In my mind, and alledgedly John White’s mind, Stan Heath had done enough to keep his job. White even going as far as saying “your’e safe”. But [...]
Gillispie Appears to be the Favorite
March 27, 2007
Texas A&M’s Billy Gillispie appears to be the UofA’s first choice for it’s next head basketball coach. University officials have been in contact with those close to Gillispie though no official discussions have taken place with the Head Aggie. Here’s the tricky part. Even if Gillispie has been offered the job, A&M [...]
Stan Heath out at Arkansas
March 27, 2007
It’s taken quite awhile, but the word finally coming down today that Stan Heath is out after 5 seasons with the Hogs. Is it a big surprise? Well yes and no. Heath was NOT a failure by any means. He had a winning record, rebuilt the program from the shambles of Nolan [...]
Hogs win series over #1 Vandy
March 26, 2007
Well some unlikely heroes stepped for Arkansas as they win their highly anticipated series against top ranked Vanderbilt. Nick Schmidt gets a lot of pub and rightfully so, but Duke Welker was incredible on the mound Saturday, and Jess Todd is an absolute bulldog. He seems more comfortable coming out of the bullpen, and [...]
